Playthrough with Liu Kang. I don't understand why Eino didn't do the PC verseion of MK4 so I decided to do it. I started with all character intro bios at 4:22, gameplay starts at 8:16, game endings at 21:00 and ending credits at 34:36. In my opinion this is the best port of MK4. Better than the PS1 since there's no loading times. The N64 version is also better than the PS1 version since the graphics are much closer to the arcade version. PC is slightly better than the N64 since the controls and setup are better.

The graphics in the PC version is better than the PS1 and N64 but not as detailed as the arcade version. Mortal Kombat Gold for the Dreamcast is graphically the best version but still have he scanlines in the cutscene like the PS1 and PC version. The only thing I don't like about the PC version is the cutscenes uses scanlines.

Not sure why game developers put it there. In the arcade version, the cutscenes did not have scanlines which is the best version of MK4. The arcade version did not have goro as a sub boss but had Quan Chi instead.

I orignally wanted to do a longplay of the arcade version of MK4 in MAME but there are still graphic problems so I had to do the PC version instead. What I do like about the PC version is the music used arcade perfect soundtracks.

During the gameplay I had to pause once on each level since the fatality time is too shore and does not give me enough time to do the fatality. However, I did show Liu Kang's 1st fatality on the first fight with Scorpion and the 2nd fatality with last fight with Reptile before fighting Goro. Goro was such as a pain in ass. I lost 5 times to Goro and used 5 continues, which I had to edit out. I put all character intro bios at the beginning and all character endings after I've beaten the game. Not too bad for a PC game. Would have been better if the scanlines had not been there like the arcade version.

This PC Version of MK4 was released in 1998 and runs in windows 95. I'm running this game on my windows 7 64-bit pc.

Update: The sound is not fluid at all during the cutscenes. It was like that when I ran it on the original windows 95 pc and it's the same when running it on windows 7 pc. I also forget to hide the overlay when recording with fraps since the fraps is showing up on the cutscenes and other places in the video.

Oh well, just let it be I guess.
